About ESU 13
Educational Service Units of Nebraska were created by the Nebraska Legislature in 1965 as a way to provide supplementary services to public school districts. Currently, there are 17 ESUs across the state of Nebraska all in which provide core services including staff development, technology, and instructional materials. In addition to those core services, ESU 13 offers services in the areas of Alternative Education, Early Childhood, Psychological and Behavioral Health, Special Education, and Title IC Education.
At ESU 13, we are committed to serving, supporting, and empowering the staff of the school districts we proudly serve. It is our hope that you will find ESU 13 to be an innovative, responsive, relationship based organization. We proudly serve more than 14,000 students and nearly 1,300 teachers in an area spanning 14,181 square miles across 11 counties in western Nebraska. Without question, the strength of ESU 13 is the highly skilled, dedicated, and service oriented staff.
