LifeLink-NE is a program that began in western Nebraska in 2007. This program is a post-secondary program for students ages 18-21 years of age with disabilities. The LifeLink-NE program serves school districts in Western Nebraska. LifeLink-NE is the only program of its kind in the State of Nebraska. This program works in conjunction with ESU 13, WNCC, and community employers. The LifeLink-NE program provides students with transition skills including participating in R-Pad gaining independent living skills; work experiences both paid and/or volunteer; classroom experiences through the Life Centered Education curriculum; community involvement; and taking WNCC classes (credit/audit/community education). Staff that provide students services with LifeLink-NE include: Tom Peacock, Director of Alternative Education; Kenda Foos and Kathy Peters, LifeLink-NE Instructors; Sheila Heath and Lisa Renander, Job Coaches.
